What do you like best about the leadership team?
Trying to make the product work
Greg is really sharp - not only from a business perspective. He know how our technology works and really understands how it's application can lead real customer value.
Everything is good about them
Proactive, Accountable, Patient and Encouraging the new employees to understand and delivering their best besides upskilling with new projects.
Insightful, connected and willing to engage on all levels with everybody. No arrogance, etc. Also a diverse and well balanced leadership team
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
They are trying to make the company positive in Sales and growth so that another company will come in and purchase them, the problem is that Veritas was sold for too much money and I don't think that any of the large 4 companies are going to need a backup software company for such amount.

Strategic decisions and vision has been lost 4 years ago. Costcutting is not improving product quality
They're almost invisible, nonexistent. Need to share news and plans.

What is the best part about your compensation package?
compensation is good as per market
Their compensation was among the highest in the state, benefits, and salary. The PTO time was not counted against your days, but it was very hard to take off with all of the projects that we had.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Since my colleague was RIFd, I do 4 jobs now.
What are some of the best things about your team?
So many different backgrounds in one team
High performing individuals with strong visions, but graceful egos that are really effective at working together.
Cohesion and trying to get the work done, the move of development was a disaster, as we had to train coworkers with minimal experience and language barriers, and most of the work had to come back to the states for redevelopment. Lots of excellent and knowledgeable people were let go to save money.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
We are a team. Not a family. But a great team.
Good attitudes, focus on solutions and customer outcomes vs. making a team or individual look good. Everybody is working with a focus on the product and how it will help customers.
Collaboration. Ooportunity to make a differnece as an individual contributor.
Low stress and politics. People just want to get things done and do a great job without having to dance around politics or have pointless meetings to move things forward.
Flexibility, Collaborative and Growth Mindset
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
The movement of IT Jobs out of the US, too many Reductions in Personnel to show that the company is money positive to investors and future buyers. No company is going to purchase Veritas so such an exuberant amount of money, they would have done this already., too many layoffs are bad for morale.

Open and direct interviews. No hoops to jump though.
I interviewed with not only my boss, but other leaders on the team that I would be collaborating with in the role

We had excellent managers and supervisors that were let go and put in people with no experience.
