Tors and his family seem great. But since Viking has gone public the company has gotten greedy. I blame him.
What makes you most happy at work?
The friends I have made who are riding this out.
What are some of the best things about your team?
My peers are gold, and we are all in this hot mess together.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The requirement to be positive. But, we really have a lot of problems that get squelched.
What did you like most about the interview process?
I wanted to believe the lies about the income potential, and thought I was applying for a career for life. That false hope... I wish it was true.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
The ability to make an adult income has dramatically reduced. Viking hires by advertising for experiences salespeople, and require evidence of a proven track record, but they pay as if you are fresh out of high school with no experience.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Management does not understand our team at all. Every decision to make changes negatively impacts are ability to sell and reduces our income. We were hired with promises of great commission, but this is just gaslighting. We make less than many of the retail workers locally. I blame management.
