Executive Bio

Ms. Charlotte M. Hogg has been Chief Executive Officer of Visa Europe Limited since November 19, 2017. Ms. Hogg has been Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer for Europe at Visa Inc. since October 2017. Ms. Hogg served as the Chief Operating Officer of Bank of England from July 1, 2013 to March 20, 2017 and served as its Deputy Governor for Markets & Banking from March 1, 2017 to March 20, 2017. Ms. Hogg was responsible for daily management of Bank of England including human resources, finance, property, IT and security. She served as the Head of Retail Distribution and Intermediaries of Santander UK plc (formerly Santander UK Group Holdings plc) since 2011. Ms. Hogg served as Managing Director of UK & Ireland at Experian plc since September 2008. She served as the Senior Vice President and Managing Director of International Business for Discover Financial Services LLC from 2004 to 2008. She was responsible for the UK business's strategic direction and operations and was instrumental in the sale of its Goldfish business to Barclays Bank in 2008. She has 25 years of experience in financial and international growth management experience. Ms. Hogg served as Managing director and head of Morgan Stanley's Strategic Planning Group from 2001 to 2004 where she led the development of corporate strategy for its Board of Directors. Prior to Morgan Stanley's Strategic Planning Group, she was a Principal at McKinsey & Company, focusing in financial services. She served as a Non-Executive Director of BBC Worldwide Limited from September 24, 2010 to March 31, 2013. She serves as a Member of the finance committee of Oxford University Press, a Trustee of the charity First Story and Governor of Nottingham Trent University. Ms. Hogg holds a BA degree in Economics and History from Oxford University and was a Kennedy Memorial Trust Scholar at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. She has an honorary Doctor of Laws from Warwick University.
