What's the office layout like at Visa?
Cubes, cubes, cubes. In some offices you have to reserve one via a hotelling system.
At HQ/FC cubes until Director level. At Senior Director level an office. In NY and SF, many SVPs do not have offices. It's moving toward more open offices and hoteling.
How's the leadership on the IT team at Visa?
Visa's IT leadership is weak - IT is more or less order takers taking orders from the business partners.
How difficult is it to maintain a social life while in your job at Visa?
You mean how crazy are the evening work hours? For the typical job, not crazy at all
What's the interview process like at Visa?

Pretty straight forward. Took a couple of weeks. Phone interview with HR and hiring manager than onsite interviews with managers as well as executive team. Couple of more days then job offer. They did take about 30 days following the offer to do a thorough background check. Once that was complete a start date was set.

Phone interview with HR and Hiring Manager. Flown out then afterward for one day interview session with hiring manager, as well as two other managers, director and VP. Offered to stay the night before for the flight but I chose for a same day option as corporate address Foster City California is only an hour flight or so.
What are your coworkers at Visa like?
Very cool. Always willing to help out and go above and beyond to help.
What's the office vibe like at Visa?
Very upbeat and cool. Not silicon valley start up or tech company like an Apple but still cool.
What benefits does Visa provide?
Medical, dental, vision, etc. insurance, 3 Weeks PTO (to start), discount stock purchase options, in office gym (in most offices), corporate card for travel expenses, etc.

Visa is a very cause driven organization that is focused on helping employees feel like part of the solution. It is still a very large organization (10K+ Employees) and at times there are way too many processes and procedures to follow that come as a result. Overall it is a fun company to work for with a great brand to get behind.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation at Visa?
No clear career growth path.. Feel completely mislead and waste of my skills..
