Out of 642 Visionworks employee reviews, 88% were positive. The remaining 12% were constructive reviews with the goal of helping Visionworks improve their work culture.
Taking the time to develop their tenured employees in order to set them up for long-term success. There is also a lack of prioritization when it comes to the company's goals, it's very unclear how individual's day-to-day contribute to those goals as well.

They need to start listening to their employees
Managing egos Not having everything be a fire
Involved more be caring be concerned
Review from Sales Dept
Employees have no input townhall meetings everyone is on listen only mode
Review from Operations Dept
Higher pay to validate hard work
Review from Sales Dept
I appreciate the opportunity that I have been given. This no way reflects poor feelings towards the company. I just feel that the amount of pay for the amount of responsibility as a manager seems low. I think the pay should reflect the importance of running a multi-million dollar store or stores.
Review from Operations Dept
I feel completely fine at Visionworks.
Review from Sales Dept
Better benefits, higher salary, more time-off are things that would be helpful
Review from IT Dept
Sometimes it seems as if tenure and gained experience over the years go unnoticed especially when you have new hires who come in and are offered higher competitive market pay. I think regular evaluations of job titles should be analyzed and rated fairly across the board.
Review from Finance Dept
Stop defending their own work/processes/style and start working towards one perfect way to execute.
the people that I work with in my store are great, but some of the associates from other stores really need to be trained more in optical knowledge.
Review from Sales Dept
Visionworks has gone through a lot of change and is continuing to transform. Some people may not be comfortable with change, or may not trust leadership.
We have a great team. Our Supervisor is new to the organization and seems to be unengaged with our team.
Review from HR Dept
My coworkers were great, it was the companies policies that I did not agree with
Review from Sales Dept
Quit with the platitudes. There is fighting at the top executive level behind the scenes but it trickles down and is felt everywhere. Managing so many egos that are fake is exhaistinf
Hire people with better behaviors and manners, not just bring people to add a body with low pay.
Review from Sales Dept
Communication with, everyone listen to employees ideas
Review from Operations Dept
Understand that the employees at the store level deal with all the issues that happen behind the scenes and we're the ones that are dealing with upset patients. Having the company show us the appreciation by allowing us to showcase support for our teams e.g. having the company provide lunch etc
Review from Sales Dept
I am satisfied with the culture and believe it is getting better all the time.
This one falls on the GMs again.
Being truthful of what will happen when you work here. That your on call 24/7 and it's extremely difficult to plan a life around your role.
Review from Sales Dept
Sometimes I feel like there's no growth with my position. Same task everyday and there's a lack of change when change is needed.
Review from HR Dept
Quit being redirected by new ideas. The needs are simple, more people, more training, better quality and better systems. Corporate over complicates the needs
Not enough optical people running an optical company
Review from Operations Dept
not too good leadership work with your employee don't just tell them do it my way ...they may have a better way
Review from Operations Dept
Give associates more qualified training and tools. Back up those who do have the skills with compensation.

Career development for all including managers
