Barbara Anason — Senior Vice President of AMC Networks and Strategy at Vizient, Inc

Ms. Barbara A. Anason serves as Senior Vice President of AMC Networks and Strategy at VHA-UHC Alliance NewCo, Inc. Ms. Anason served as the Chief Marketing Officer and Vice President of Strategy at University HealthSystem Consortium, Inc. (UHC). Ms. Anason leads the development and implementation of UHC's marketing and communications strategy to support member engagement and business development. She oversees UHC's marketing functions-including corporate communications, website and related channels, and brand management-and works with UHC's supply contracting company, Novation, to ensure alignment of communications to UHC members. Ms. Anason manages UHC's corporate strategic planning function and is responsible for UHC's Chief Marketing Officers Council and Global Executive Services Council. Ms. Anason has health care marketing, knowledge management and strategic planning expertise. She created and managed the organization's first full-service marketing and sales support department at First Health (formerly HealthCare Compare). She was Associate Director of marketing for The Joint Commission. Ms. Anason holds bachelor's degrees in management and marketing from Elmhurst College and an MBA from Lewis University.
