Ms. Cynthia Hare serves as Senior Vice President and Executive Officer of VHA Southeast Regional Office at VHA, Inc. since October 1, 2010. Ms. Hare served as Vice President of performance improvement at VHA, Inc. Prior to joining VHA Southeast in May 1990, Ms. Hare worked for eight years with Andersen Consulting, now Accenture, in Tampa, Fla., where she managed large-scale information system installations, consulted on health care strategy planning, and managed the national installation of VHA's clinical financial decision support system, gaining early insight into how VHA could help hospitals improve their decision making. While completing her undergraduate and graduate work, Ms. Hare worked as a medical technician at various hospitals. Ms. Hare earned her bachelor of science degree in biochemistry from Queens College in Charlotte, N.C., and her master's degree in business administration from Florida State University in Tallahassee.
