David Levine M.D., FACEP — Senior Vice President of Advanced Analytics & Informatics at Vizient, Inc

Dr. David Levine, MD, FACEP has been Senior Vice President of Advanced Analytics & Informatics at Vizient, Inc. since October 2016. Dr. Levine served as Vice President of Informatics and Medical Director at University HealthSystem Consortium, Inc. He joined UHC in 2010 after serving as medical director of the emergency department at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County in Chicago. While there he served as a physician leader for the health system's implementation and upgrade of their electronic health record system. He also served as the Chair of Utilization Management for the hospital and as the department representative for the Quality Assurance Committee. He also served as a physician leader for information technology upgrades, including expansion of computerized physician order entry and documentation improvements. His background includes consulting for emergency departments and physician groups to optimize informatics, quality and compliance. He is an Assistant Professor of emergency medicine at Rush Medical School in Chicago and a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. He is Board Certified in emergency medicine. He did his residency at Boston City Hospital where he was chief resident. Dr. Levine earned his Medical Degree from Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine and has a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from the University of Michigan.
