How's the work life balance at VML?
I would say it's ok. It depends what branch of the company you are in as well as the client that you are assigned to. Some teams are better than others; ultimately falling upon the managers and how they manage their teams.
Client work so expect occasional 50+ hour weeks and nights/weeknds.

Casual. Different levels wear different things, but there are no expectations.

Fun! They really put effort into that. They look for the hottest places and don't hesitate to spend some money.
How often do raises happen at VML?
I was there almost 2 years and never had a review nor the mention of a raise. I was unofficially promoted to a team lead position without the title or a pay raise.
