On VMWARE for 7 months. Great experience, even when my onboarding was during pandemic times. Great benefits and good compensation. They work hard to make fell their people good. However, somethimes you feel that the company does not have very clear its path. They keep saying SaaS and multicloud but.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
Take 1, they provide an stipendium to study of around $5000 yearly.
What are some of the best things about your team?
they are all really skilled, in VMware, at least in the full FTE team, you will only find really high skilled professionals, you can learne a lot from everybody.
What did you like most about the interview process?
it takes a really long time. you have to had 3 interviews, and in some case they even make additional ones and test you abilities and knowledge on a video call.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
They are good, friendly and know A LOT of their bussiness and what has to be done. However, it is dificult to schedule meetings with them... but that can be expected. There is a lot of work to do.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
They want us to fell part of vmware, ONE VMWARE. Almost everyday there is a webinar or something to reinforce culture, values or interest in the company values. They have a lot of virtual games and contest (gamification) so you embrace the company culture but also have fun and also earn prices :)
