Volvo Car USA Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Bonus opportunities would be the largest benefit in the package.

Vehicle lease program and recharge mental health wellness week off!

The bonus program is very beneficial.

Annual bonus is good, pay is alright

Review from Finance Dept

the bonuses we get. Our medical is lackluster

Review from Marketing Dept

The paternity leave is cool

Review from Marketing Dept

I believe I am paid fairly for the amount of work that I do and the experience that I am gaining.

Maternity leave, pay, healthcare, car

Flexibility and paid holidays for us

Being paid weekly opposed to biweekly.

paid internship and flexible work hours

Review from Marketing Dept

Company car = Love driving a Volvo vehicle!

PTO and use of a test car

health insurance that covers mental health

Test car is absolutely fantastic. I love that I get to drive our product.

The complete package not one item sticks out.

It is not any one part that makes a "best" part of the package - you need to look at the package as a whole. It has a good balance.

Review from Legal Dept

The best part of the compensation package is the new personal performance portion that they added. Giving us to power to have more control of our bonus is great. The only thing I would say is that the goals need to be more clearly defined when it comes to the rating scale. Could upset employees.

Volvo's investment into my future (retirement).

car program and family bond

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Salary is not up to date with the cost of living. The company policy has changed regarding being in office which caused more unexpected expenses.

Transparency of the pay-scale for my level and where I stand.

Salary ranges are not transparent and overlap quite a bit. Salaries are low compared to the current market

Being a field employee takes a lot out of your life and the compensation at times doesn't seem to be worth it. Cost of living and inflation have increased but salaries havent been matched

From a PX perspective, I feel the company's priorities seem to be misaligned with where the company's productivity and earnings are delivered. Our sales organization, from multiple areas, is under-compensated or undervalued in many of the arms of the company that drive the brand forward.

I have to choose between my mental & physical health or keeping my job w/risk of death weekly. I am protected by ADA but PX is violating. "Alternative accommodation" offered does not qualify as such as it is ineffective. Maintaining mental & physical health is more valuable than more monetary comp.

Ideas/executions are slow to be implmented or even recoginzed.

rewarded for performance and reaching goals. Ranking should be on performance not who is liked more .

my salary doesnt add up to my experience and skillset, but i needed a job and took it.

Annual merits that are fair

Better pay for amount of work done

Annual merit increases do not keep pace with inflation.

Aligning the merit pool with inflation

I know what people make in this industry, and in others as well through a large friend group. I also know that the same effort and that I deliver at VCUSA and same skill set would allow me to each 20-30% more in the local area. I am devoted to the brand, but it is very unfortunate that we pay less.

That I was offered a fair salary for the work that I accomplish.

I think given the wide variety of responsibilities of my position and the fact that we do a lot of high level work for both our executive team and other teams that our salary should reflect that a bit more

Even factoring in the generous benefits, I accepted a substantial pay cut because I wanted to be a Volvo employee. I knew my salary would be lower than my contract pay, but thought it would be at least 10K higher than it is, based on my expertise and established Volvo retailer relationships.

I am paid far less than other managers in my department. The gender pay gap is not taken seriously. It is disheartening to hire someone to work for you who starts at the same pay

I would like to be compensated for working on Sundays

Personally i have been in my position for 5 years now and verbally have communicated with my manager to give me more challenge me and I feel i am not being used to my greatest potential. I just feel like i do grunt work.
