He served as the President of Werner Enterprises Inc. until 1984 and Chief Executive Officer from 1984 to February 2007. He served as the Chairman Emeritus of Werner Enterprises Inc. since May 2011. He served as the Chairman of the Board of Werner Enterprises Inc., since 1984. Mr. Werner has been a Director of Werner Enterprises Inc. since September 1982.
