Mr. David N. Koschik, also known as Dave, is a Partner at White & Case, L.L.P. He maintains an active practice representing major commercial and investment banks in lending transactions, and in acquisition and highly leveraged financings in particular. He is recognized among the Leaders in their Field in the 2004 - 2005 edition of Chambers USA and recommended in the 2003 edition of Global Counsel 3000. He has served as senior bank lenders' counsel in connection with many acquisition and highly leveraged financing transactions, including RJR-Nabisco, Primedia Inc., DirecTV, New Skies and Intelsat. Mr. Koschik also specializes in representing lenders in connection with financing transactions in the insurance industry. In this regard, Mr. Koschik has represented the agent/arranger bank in financings for American Reinsurance Company, Reliance Financial, the Hawaii Hurricane Relief Fund, the California Earthquake Authority and the Florida Windstorm Underwriting Association. As lead counsel for the agent/arranger banks, he is involved in all aspects of the deal structure, negotiation and documentation, including issues of fraudulent conveyance, collateral and the relationships between senior and subordinated lenders. Mr. Koschik also specializes in representing lending institutions in other types of financings, including letter of credit facilities and commercial paper back-up facilities. Mr. Koschik joined White & Case after his graduation from law school in 1984. He completed his J.D., magna cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center in 1984; M.S.F.S. from Georgetown University in 1984; and B.A., cum laude from Miami University, Political Science and Russian in 1979.
