Mr. Oliver C. Brahmst is a Partner at White & Case, L.L.P. He is a partner in the M&A Practice Group, and is resident in the NY office. Mr. Brahmst concentrates on domestic and cross-border acquisitions and divestitures in the context of both public and private transactions. He has particular experience in the area of leveraged acquisitions. Additionally, Mr. Brahmst has advised both lenders and borrowers in domestic and cross-border bank financing transactions. In the course of these transactions, Mr. Brahmst has represented large and medium-sized multinational corporates and financial institutions in North America, Europe and Asia. Recent matters include the representation of: AGFA-Gevaert N.V. ('AGFA'), the largest European maker of X-ray products and films, and certain of its affiliates in connection with the sale of its Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) business unit to GE Aircraft Engines, a division of General Electric Company; AGFA-Gevaert N.V. in connection with its acquisition of all of the issued and outstanding capital stock of Microgran S.r.l., the holding company of Lastra S.p.A.; Consorcio Comex S.A. de C.V., Mexico's largest paint manufacturer, in its acquisition of Professional Paint, Inc, a leading manufacturer and distributor of architectural paints and coatings, from New York private equity boutique Jordan Co. L.P.; First Atlantic Capital, Ltd. in connection with its acquisition of all of the outstanding stock of Prestolite Electric Holding, Inc., a global manufacturer of alternators and starter motors; Private equity firm Harvest Partners, Inc. in its acquisition of New Flyer Holdings Corp. from KPS Special Situations Funds. New Flyer is the largest manufacturer of heavy-duty buses in North America; and in connection with its acquisition of Communications Supply Corporation ('CSC'), a leading U.S. distributor of low voltage network infrastructure products; Lehman Brothers Merchant Banking in its acquisition of a controlling interest in Hunter Fan Company, a leading national brand in home d??cor; Associated Materials Incorporated, a leading manufacturer of vinyl siding and other exterior residential building products, in its acquisition of Gentek Holdings Inc.; Castle Harlan, Inc, in its acquisition of Gravograph, the leading laser engraving manufacture in the world; Triton Beteiligungsberatung GmbH in its acquisition of the Tetra Group, a leading global fish food, aquarium and pond supplies business; and Investcorp in its acquisition of the Neptune Technology Division of Schlumberger, a leader in the North American water works industry. He compeleted his B.A. from University of Toronto in 1985; LL.B. from University of Ottawa, Book Reviews Editor, Ottawa Law Review in 1988; and LL.M. (Tax) from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1994.
