Executive Bio

Mr. Bud Cope has been Executive Vice President and Chief Real Estate and Development Officer of Williams-Sonoma Inc. (WSI) since 2003. Mr. Cope served as Senior Vice President of Store Development at Williams-Sonoma Inc. (WSI) since 2003. Mr. Cope was responsible for the design and construction of all WSI retail stores and store concepts for all brands across continents. He also oversees all corporate facilities, as well as WSI's purchasing and travel departments. He is a Champion of WSI corporate culture and environmental sustainability. He has nearly 30 years of retail-store design experience. He joined WSI in 1987 as Construction Manager. Prior to joining WSI, he worked in store design and construction for Fisher Development and GAP, Inc., where he helped develop numerous retail prototypes including the Banana Republic Safari stores.
