David Randolph King — Executive VP, General Counsel & Secretary at Williams-Sonoma

Mr. David Randolph King has been Secretary and General Counsel at Williams-Sonoma Inc. since 2011 and has been its Executive Vice President since July 19, 2017. Mr. King served as Senior Vice President at Williams-Sonoma Inc. since 2011 until July 2017. Mr. King oversees all of Williams-Sonoma's corporate governance, litigation, intellectual property, employment, regulatory, marketing and contract matters. He also manages the legal components of Williams-Sonoma's global and business-development growth initiatives. He joined Williams-Sonoma, Inc. in 2004 as Associate General Counsel and served in that role until 2010 and also served as its Deputy General Counsel and Vice President from 2010 to 2011, handling a broad range of legal matters for it including managing materials for its Board of Directors, overseeing the legal aspects of its public reporting to the Securities and Exchange Commission and negotiating strategic transactions. Mr. King spent eight years as a Corporate and Securities Associate at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where he represented numerous public and private companies in mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, private financings and general corporate matters. He was an Editor of the California Law Review at University of California, Berkeley. Mr. King holds a Bachelor's degree in English from Yale University. He received his J.D. from University of California, Berkeley.
