Executive Bio

Mr. Dean A. Miller has been the Chief Operating Officer of Williams-Sonoma Inc. since July 24, 2014 and has been its Executive Vice President since July 2006. Mr. Miller oversees Williams-Sonoma's Distribution, Logistics and Manufacturing functions, in addition to its Customer Care Centers. Mr. Miller is the Architect behind Williams-Sonoma's distribution and transportation strategies. He is leading Williams-Sonoma's gold-standard quality initiative in the furniture supply chain, which is continually improving product quality and service, while reducing customer returns, replacements and damages. Mr. Miller served as Chief Supply Chain Officer at Williams-Sonoma Inc. from July 2006 to July 24, 2014. Mr. Miller served as the Senior Vice President, Global Logistics and Sourcing of Williams Sonoma Inc. since 2001 until 2005 and Vice President of Retail Distribution since joining it in July 2000 until 2001. Prior to joining Williams-Sonoma Inc., he served as Vice President and General Manager of Global Accounts for UPS Worldwide Logistics from 1996 to 2001 and held key managerial positions with Frito-Lay Inc. and Exel Logistics. Mr. Miller holds Bachelor's degrees in Business Administration and Political Science from Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio and an M.B.A. in Marketing and Operations/Logistics from Ohio State University.
