On the whole Wondery has been an amazing chance to do something I love and work with incredible people. I love working here! The biggest asterisk is work-life balance. The pace never really lets up, and long-term I worry about the risk of burnout for myself and other people in my dept.

I love hashing out story ideas with writers and coworkers.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Our leadership is very ambitious, but they understand how to motivate and energize employees to meet those goals.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
Stock options! The company is also taking steps to improve some benefits during WFH, which is great. As we get bigger/once the pandemic ends, would be nice to see other perks like occasional discounted tickets or giveaways.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Terrific people with a positive culture that starts from the top down. We work hard, but I feel like I and the people I work with are valued. Wondery seems to be largely free of the BS toxic culture that has infiltrated other places I've worked.
