H. Balasubramaniam ā Managing Director for Xylem India at Xylem

Mr. H. Balasubramaniam, also known as Bala, has been Managing Director for Xylem India at Xylem Inc. since October 07, 2013. Mr. Balasubramaniam joined Xylem from General Electric, where he spent more than 15 years, served as its Business Director of the GE's locomotive projects business, and prior to that as Chief Executive Officer of GE Water Process and Technologies, South Asia. While at GE, he was also Vice President of GE Capital International Services and General Manager of Quality and Operations at GE's Industrial Systems group. Prior to that, he held various engineering positions at Ford New Holland Tractors and Eicher-Mitsubishi. Mr. Balasubramaniam serves as Director of GE India Industrial Private Ltd. He earned a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering at India's National Institute of Industrial Engineering in Mumbai, and a master's degree in quality and statistics at Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani in India. He is a certified Master Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma.
