View ArticleHow does it work?
My Agent is a new feature that allows agents to create online connections with their clients on on Zillow and Trulia. Once connected, agents will appear as the only buyers agent on for-sale listings.
How do I use My Agent to connect with my clients on Zillow and Trulia?
There are two ways that agents can use My Agent:
Automatically with our Premier Agent Team - My Agent works seamlessly with Premier Agent and allows agents to automatically create online connection. When an agent picks up a live transfer from our Premier Agent Team, they will appear as the only buyers agent on listings. This connection will last 30 days. Agents can extend this relationship by confirming the relationship via the Premier Agent App.
Using the Premier Agent App - Agents can create connections with their clients via the app; when they confirm, agents will appear as the only buyers agent on Zillow and Trulia listings.
You can send an invitation to any of your saved Zillow or Trulia contacts in your Premier Agent App. Simply navigate to 'Contacts,' click on the desired contact and then click the 'Confirm' button.
Does My Agent work with all Premier Agent leads?
A My Agent connection is established only when the agent picks up the live transfer from our Premier Agent Team for email leads (a lead who submitted an inquiry on Zillow or Trulia. My Agent does not currently support phone leads or leads from 3rd party sources.
Is my online connection with my client permanent?
No. Your client has the ability to decline or end the online connection anytime they want.
Is this online connection a contract?
No. The online connection is a way for you to engage your client in the home buying process and connect online on Zillow or Trulia, like you might friend someone on Facebook or add a connection on LinkedIn. It is non-binding and can be ended at any time.
My lead came in from Zillow/Trulia. When my client confirms our connection, where will I show up online?
You will appear as the sole buyers agent on for-sale listings on Zillow or Trulia, depending on which site the lead originated from.
Will I appear on all for-sale listings, or only where I advertise?
When you connect automatically via our Premier Agent Team or your client has confirmed your connection, you will appear to them on for-sale listings for every county where you: (a) advertise or (b) have added a ZIP code as an area where you provide service. You can add or remove service areas at any time by editing your Zillow agent profile.
Can I connect with clients who did not submit on Zillow or Trulia?
Not at this time. Invitation functionality is limited exclusively to leads submitted on Zillow or Trulia.
Will I appear on listings or will my team member?
The agent who confirms the connection will appear as the only buyers agent on for-sale listings. (The agent who speaks to or meets with the client should send the confirmation message.)
What happens when I re-assign a lead?
Reassigning the lead to a different team member moves the online relationship to the new team member. If you have a confirmed online connection with a client and then reassign that client to a team member, you will transfer that online connection to your team member.
Can my ISA do this for my team?
At this time, the only way your ISA can confirm connections with your clients is if they are logged in to your account.

View ArticleBelow are common scenarios that your applicants may run into and how to troubleshoot.
Your renter is having trouble verifying their identity orthey'reunable to complete their application becausethey'relocked out.
There are a few scenarios where a renter may be unable to verify their identity in our system. These include not having sufficient credit history, having a fraud alert or a security freeze associated with their credit file, or being outside of the country. Have your renter start by double-checking details such as their name and current address. It may also be helpful to have them try a previous address. Have they entered their social security number? Are they within the US? Experian, a credit-reporting agency, may also be able to help them understand what is associated with their credit file that could be preventing them from completing their application.
Your renter needs to make changes to their application.
Unfortunately, a completed rental application cannot be changed. If youd prefer that they make the appropriate changes to their application, start by having them visit the renter hub to withdraw their application. Next, visit the Applications tab of your listing and click Invite someone to apply to send your renter a new invitation. Theywon'tbe charged again for a new application so long as its still within 30 days of their original purchase.
Depending on which site your renter applied from, they can access their rental applications hub by visiting:
https://www.trulia.com/renter-hub/applications
https://www.zillow.com/renter-hub/applications
https://www.hotpads.com/renter-hub/applications
Your renter is having trouble paying for their application.
Please have the renter attempt to process their application using Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.
Your renter told you that they received an application invitation from a site other than Zillow.
Zillow Rental Manager is a platform that posts rental listings to Zillow, HotPads, and Trulia. If your renter has an account on any of the three sites, Rental Manager will send them an invitation from the brand that they most recently interacted with. Regardless of which brand your renter uses to complete their application, youll be able to view it from your Zillow Rental Manager account.
