What did you like most about the interview process?

Efficient and straightforward. Recruiter was always clear about timeline and next steps.

What do you like best about the leadership team?

Zuora leadership is open and transparent. When he's not traveling, the CEO participates in daily office life in a way that makes him accessible and humanized.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

Working in silos is frustrating and limits efficiency. I get pulled into random, unproductive meetings constantly. I get more done when I work from home.

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?

Most Zuora employees are smart, capable, and friendly, but getting inter-departmental work done here is a headache. Teams work with a narrow focus and aren't responsive to those outside their respective team.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

The sense of openness. The SF office is literally an open space with no private offices. C-level execs share about their personal lives, and lower-level employees are encouraged to participate in special interest groups and charity initiatives.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Benefits are slowly getting better, but still not great. No 401k match offered. Should be a greater investment in personal development for a company that says "every employee is a ZEO." Zuora can undercut on salary because the job application process is so competitive.
