Carbon is a work-hard-play-hard environment, and for team members that are willing to engage with their peers and participate in the company processes/events, a place that people have a lot of fun and can do good work without being overwhelmed.

Carbon is a place that requires working hard and moving fast, and people need to be able to protect their time and balance for themselves to be able to sustain a healthy work/life balance here. That being said, the team at Carbon is a fantastic group with friendly people that make time for fun.

Carbon is a place where people who want to lean in and really engage with their coworkers and leaders can be really successful. People are also able to participate more quietly, but it does seem like people who are more directly engaged get more out of what Carbon has to offer.

Carbon does required working hard, but the company also plays hard. I appreciate that leadership/company organizations make specific during-work-hours time for the team to have fun together.

People are so friendly and invested in being kind and getting to know their other coworkers. It's easy to have fun with my coworkers, even in the office.

I appreciate how friendly and approachable most of the leadership team is. Not everyone is, but a good majority are people that I feel comfortable talking to on a daily basis.

I think some of the leadership team does a really good job of connecting with ICs as peers where they can, making them more keyed in and connected with the rest of the company.

How much the company makes time for employees to get to know one another and have fun together. We do all work very hard, so making sure we also have time for fun and decompressing together is really valuable.

Working with my teammates and understanding how they work/how we can work together to be successful is always rewarding, both in how it unblocks projects at Carbon and because it helps improve work for peers that I care about succeeding.

Some of the leadership team is very friendly/clearly takes time to talk to the ICs and not just other leadership members- those that are willing to be "peers" in that way are really encouraging and create more trust in them as leaders.

There is not always clarity on the value and authority of an employee compared to their level of responsibility and who they need to be working with- that disconnect can be both frustrating and stressful at times when the responsibility outweighs the authority.

So far there I have not run into too many unexpected concerns with the benefit package. I also get the sense that Carbon would like to provide a good compensation package as they can, and are constantly working on improving it, which I appreciate.

They are all such kind and interesting people beyond their work abilities, which makes collaborating with them fun, and encourages me to get to know them better. I consider myself friends with most of the people I work with on a regular basis.

Everyone is friendly and looking out for one another as much as possible, which makes problem solving as fun as it can be. People at Carbon are coworkers and friends, and most people do a good job of creating space for both working hard and playing hard.

Everyone seems to care about their coworkers, both in terms of how we can get work done and help one another, and in being respectful and invested in people's happiness outside of work. The caring environment is so appreciated, and helps make the hard work rewarding.
