My overall experience is positive, although the culture can be challenging due to the layers of management and lack of autonomy from Japan, which can lead to feelings of frustration and helplessness because its hard to make meaningful change.
I believe Misumi can hit $1B in sales. I'm eager to continue to drive towards that goal, but sometimes it feels like the fire gets extinguished due to limitations of what Misumi USA can do because Japan controls everything. A good example is the VOC regarding website changes. We cant make changes.
Overall my experience with the company is good. Some of the challenges I fell are discouragement because we are limited by how much we can change due to Japan remaining in control. Website changes, system limitations. Ultimately they affect the employee's and our customer's experience.
Overall I enjoy and am proud to work for Misumi. The challenges are, that I can see so clearly how to improve the company and organization but feel powerless to make the changes necessary.
