Review from Engineering Dept

I love that MISUMI is a Japanese company and the business culture from Japan has kept going here. I also love how this company is welcoming to everyone and provides equal opportunities to succeed.

Review from Sales Dept

Free sugar donuts on Friday

Review from Sales Dept

The most positive aspect of the culture here is the strong emphasis on continuous improvement and mutual respect. It’s an environment where people are encouraged to take initiative, share ideas, and grow professionally. There's a real sense of trust and teamwork,

Review from Sales Dept

No positive feedback what so ever.

Review from Customer Support Dept

A management philosophy of growth through change.

Review from Business Development Dept

Plenty of company sponsored opportunities to hang out outside of work

Review from Finance Dept

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

Company needs to provide a feasible resource to achieve the goal .

Review from Business Development Dept

Management seems to be in Silos regarding other departments and unable to make necessary changes to help the flow of work

Review from Sales Dept

I would like to see the top managements communicate with all levels of employees. My impression is that we don't hear from them well and they don't hear us well. Because of the lack of communication I don't feel the top management are much interested to know us .

Review from Admin Dept

The manager has no power like he or she has work outside of hours for meeting with hq but it used to be more accommodating and take some comp hours if we worked outside of normal business hours, but now it is gone and we are working many hours outside of work and managers do not have any powers

Review from Engineering Dept

the mindset of the company and especially the executive leadership team, they promote unhealthy work practices, pit employees against each other, and bicker constantly amongst themselves, change the unprofessional work environment

Review from Sales Dept

Include remote workers more in the activities.

Review from Sales Dept

Positvity. Change in the ID sales structure. .

Review from Sales Dept

Better goals, more team building, appropriate staffing levels, less knee jerk reactions

Review from IT Dept

treating employees with respect, provide realistic goals and then help your employees achieve their goals, provide opportunities for advancement based on performance

Review from Sales Dept

I would love to work remotely.

Review from Marketing Dept

The focus on profit and growth is only one measure of success, but it is the primary one we use. When the market goes down and our sales drop, it can feel like we are being blamed for things we cannot control. We need to find other ways to measure success.

Review from Engineering Dept

More empowerment to employees, less red tape to actually get things done

Review from IT Dept

There should be more thought into training new hires on teams, rather than learn as you go with every task.

Review from Engineering Dept

Operate with a more western mindset. Continuous comparison between Japan and US workers drives animosity, and results in less collaboration.

Review from IT Dept

Management team needs to convey goals and company direction to employees.

Review from IT Dept

Value the employees more than the bottom line.

Review from IT Dept

I think there no need to make change to the company culture.

Review from Sales Dept

JHQ has an extremely tight hold on the company's progress. Whether it be data standardization and IT flexibility, it is difficult to convince leaders there that standards in the US are different. Systematic issues within the organization are hindering progress.

Review from Marketing Dept

Entire company culture needs to change -too many drastic changes with poor results, communication with employees are minimal and speaking out is a great way to get targeted for reprisals, management says they want to change but doesn't, they ask for feedback then target anyone who speaks negatively

Review from Sales Dept

Turnover rates are way too high, employees need to be heard and valued better. HR department doesn't care about employees. Company is making money hand over fist, but employees suffer with no adjustments for rising prices.
