Employees were forced into a situation where if they received a promotion in the past 6 months, they were expected to perform the responsibilities of the promotional level, but compensated at their previous paygrade. Merit raises for the past two years for even the top performers have barely kept up with inflation. Promotional pay increases were frozen while employees were still expected to perform at their promotional level. Meanwhile, our company stock valuation reached a 5 yr. high during these policies.
