Firefighting, I like fixing problems, not aimlessly struggling to prevent the next problem, or working to meet some standard that doesn't really make sense.

Prioritize value added raises, they moved down the pay scale for bonuses and promotions rather than go through the performance rating to prioritize these. That left over-performing low-grade employees waiting a very long time for their raises/promotions. Not very encouraging or motivating.
