Unlimited vacation and a generally flexible schedule in most departments (sorry Sales and Customer Service) is incredible. For some people it's difficult to navigate, but for most it's incredibly liberating.

Compensation is somewhat fair but at the lower end of what would be needed, given the cost of living increases in Bellingham. Benefits are generally outstanding. The only exception is health insurance coverage for spouses, which is unattainably expensive for most.

Benefits are quite expensive if you enroll your family. For just an employee only, they are very reasonable, but adding on others is more expensive than prior places I've worked.

Better family medical: 100% medical, dental, vision coverage for the whole family. Better 401k matching: 1-to-1 without a top end limit. Financial incentive to work, eat, live "healthy". Yes, I know that's ambiguous.

I would just like to make a little more money to reach a livable wage that will match inflation. As a result of political changes and a raise in minimum wage, we are experiencing a moment of inflation where everything costs just a little more.

It all depends on the strategic funneling of money within the company. If your department isn't a new product or new initiative, you will have a much harder time getting a raise, regardless of how much value you bring to the table.

I've made much more doing less in this field in this same town. We are encouraged to work ourselves in to the ground for little to no recognition. Health benefits are severely lacking, employer contributions to 401K are minimal at best.

I feel undervalued because I am paid less than most of the people I manage and I am paid significantly less than a colleague who manages less people and has roughly the same title as me. I cannot get a raise because our department budget has not allowed for it for the past few years.
