Logos employees answer questions about what life is like behind the scenes at their company, including queries about culture, leadership, professional development, and compensation.

How employees describe working at Logos

Logos mobile has become dysfunctional on apple devices and there is no drive from logos to fix the software.

I love my company and its mission. Also, the people around me are very supportive.

Review from Product Dept

Overall, a great experience. Best workplace I can imagine (with pay and family health insurances as the only drawbacks). I'm in the right place, I'm doing something meaningful, and I love what I do.

Review from Product Dept

Easy going with a "work hard, play hard" type of attitude.

I appreciate that openness and honesty are valued.

Excellent. It's one of the main things keeping me here.

  • It is great! One of the best companies I have worked for in terms of work/life balance.

  • The work life balance is generally good. With an excellent company, there is an expectation of excellent work, which doesn't always fit into 40 hours per week. So there is the occasional need to work late, but Faithlife is not a slave-driver by any means. My experience is that the company is conscious of the extra time that employees put in, and if it gets to be a lot of extra time, then the employee will be expected to take some time off when the project is finished to compensate for the extra time worked.

Include spouse in paid medical and dental coverage

  • Hire more diverse management. Hiring more women into management has greatly improved company culture. I think the next step is to hire more people of color into leadership. Besides improving company culture, this is needed to speak to our ever growing and diversifying customer base.

  • I would like to see Marketing work less in a silo-like atmosphere and instead see themselves as part of Faithlife as a whole. Sometimes that silo effect creates a "me first" mentality in the department, instead of a "what's the right thing to do for Faithlife as a whole" mentality. This is being worked on, but it's still difficult at times.

  • The Faithlife.com platform seems to be growing fast. I think certain features across all products are having difficulties growing.

  • Really don't know as I don't see any sales numbers by different departments and how those numbers stand against forecasts and budgets

  • A lot of parts of Faithlife are growing fast, but the one having the most difficulty is the one managing the groups and group licenses.

It varies. usually, when a need arises, we try to find someone in-house who's the most natural "next in line". However, when there isn't a clear need, employees are expected to fight for more responsibility and a larger role. It is very rare that someone is promoted without them first fighting for that promotion.

  • Start out with 3 weeks

  • Great! Instead of a set amount of vacation time per year, most departments have a discretionary vacation policy, that is, we can take off as much time as our supervisors allow, provided we get our work done in a timely and effective manner.

  • Worth noting that the unlimited vacation policy doesn't apply to hourly employees (who make up the majority of various departments). However, managers seem to be really flexible with when employees take their vacation hours.
