Review from Product Dept
Overall, a great experience. Best workplace I can imagine (with pay and family health insurances as the only drawbacks). I'm in the right place, I'm doing something meaningful, and I love what I do.

How does Logos handle HR issues?
It varies per dept...The company boasts that "it doesn't need" a formal HR dept. because of it's strong company ethos.
It could be better. Right now, all issues are handled within the department as there is no traditional HR department at Faithlife.
Faithlife's preference for HR is not to have an HR department, but to deal with HR issues organically. For payroll, benefits, etc. there's a team to help you. For other "issues" you might need to talk to your manager or on up the chain. The top management are all very approachable and willing to listen, so you could talk to whoever you're most comfortable with.
In your opinion, what are the most common interview questions that Logos asks?
What is your goal for the future
Why us?
Coding questions about algorithms.
How flexible is your work schedule at Logos?
Most employees are working 8-5 but there are flex cases and departments run their own process for varied hours.
As flexible as each person needs it to be.
Hours are very flexible, and vacation is "unlimited". On the other hand, sometimes there's an expectation to be available during the middle of the day. Most meetings can be attended remotely.
How do I do well in an interview at Logos?
Just be yourself and let them know you value working hard and want to continue to grow in the company
Tell the interview team you have a desire to learn.
Be informed and interested in what the company is doing. Be confident in what you're capable of without being cocky. Ask good questions about the company and what will be expected of you. Show interest in growth and new technology.

What should I wear for an interview at Logos?
Dress pants and a button shirt
As in most west coast software companies, dress is pretty casual. I'd dress up one notch for an interview, but don't wear a tie.
What is Logos's policy towards pets in the workplace?
all for it, but only do it once in a while. e.g your wife is out of town and you have to watch the dog for a few days.
There is no policy against pets. But I haven't seen any in the office, so I guess bringing a pet would be a bit of an experiment.
What was the most difficult question that was asked during your interview at Logos?
There were no trick questions, and I wouldn't describe them as difficult. Typical questions you might expect, such as "Why do you want to work at Faithlife?"
Coding questions.
How helpful was your Engineering team when you were first hired at Logos?
Average, helped when I would ask.
People were very helpful and friendly but on the other hand there was a sense of being thrown in the deep end and expected to pro-actively figure things out and start getting stuff done immediately.
How long do the interviews usually take at Logos?
1 hour each interview
From first interview to hired it takes about 3 weeks to a month.
How would you describe your overall experience interviewing at Logos?
My only interview at Faithlife was for the original 12-week internship I applied and was hired for. The interview was done remotely via video conference call with the director of the team I had applied to and one other team member who was potentially going to be my intern mentor and supervisor. The interview was fairly informal and consisted mainly of questions about my educational background and the results of a short skill test I had been given to complete before the interview. This was my only real job interview at Faithlife, since on completion of my internship I transitioned immediately into a broader role on the team I had interned on.
It was simple and pleasant. When the original department I interviewed for thought I'd be a better fit elsewhere, he recommended me and I was able to not just get a job, but get the right job.
What's the pay like for Product roles at Logos?
The pay is fair and is also supplemented by good benefits and lots of perks such as flexibility in work schedule.
Low, probably about 2/3 what it should be.
How much diversity is there among employees at Logos?
I reject this question. It is part of the identity politics that has riven our nation. There are many diversities at Faithlife, and many common themes among the views and characteristics of the employees—which is natural, because we have a mission focused on the church. Is anyone being excluded from Faithlife's employee roster because of irrelevant factors such as skin color? No, not that I'm aware of.
It's pretty limited. There's a decent amount of women at the company, but there's not a lot of racial diversity.
How do you feel about going to work at Logos everyday?
I look forward to working especially if I am working on something new and not dealing with old issues from the past.
Excited, motivated, and eager.
How secure do you feel at your job at Logos?
Very.
Very secure—as long as I do my job.
