How employees describe working at Logos

Logos mobile has become dysfunctional on apple devices and there is no drive from logos to fix the software.

I love my company and its mission. Also, the people around me are very supportive.

Review from Product Dept

Overall, a great experience. Best workplace I can imagine (with pay and family health insurances as the only drawbacks). I'm in the right place, I'm doing something meaningful, and I love what I do.

Review from Product Dept

Easy going with a "work hard, play hard" type of attitude.

I appreciate that openness and honesty are valued.

  • The policy says: "If you’re having a child and intend to return to work after, Faithlife encourages mothers to take an extra eight paid weeks, and fathers two paid weeks, in addition to whatever vacation time you choose to use. You are also able to take whatever unpaid leave you’d like, if you work that out with your manager."

  • This is not unique to Faithlife, but I wish I had known that the full value of my work is not always seen by management. I have learned that I must regularly communicate my accomplishments, and the value of my accomplishments, to management. I have had performance reviews where I had compiled a list of my accomplishments, and management was surprised at some of them, forgetting that I had done them. The perceived value of an employee is determined by the employee's accomplishments AND the visibility of those accomplishments. The relevancy of those accomplishments is also a factor. You can accomplish a lot of things, but if they are not valuable to management, then your reward will be limited.

Asked to the Marketing Department at Logos

  • One of the company values is Initiative, which means that employees are supported when they try to solve business problems in new ways. If you see an area to improve, you can typically take ownership of that area and develop any skills needed for it. So in that sense, the opportunity to grow your career is plentiful. In terms of moving up the ladder, there are opportunities here and there, and employees switch roles and teams occasionally. It kind of depends on which team you're on. Some employees have moved into a leadership role for their team, while others have stayed in the same position for quite a while (either because they are content with where they're at, or because there hasn't been much opportunity to move up). I think opportunities to move up the ladder are less plentiful than opportunities to develop new skills.
