Figuring out a new challenge; learning new things; helping out my coworkers
I was hired in with different job duties & my role has changed/increased, there was not an increase due to the change in responsibilities. I also have a skill set higher than some of my coworkers.
This last year, they put things in place that are supportive to the associates: ABIDE (Social Justice); Wysa (self-care) app; paid furlough / daycare/ hotel expenses during the pandemic, opening a special Health Benefits Subsidy Enrollment for low income families; better Maternity Leave policy/pay
During the pandemic, leadership really showed that they care about staff with paid furlough & sending staff from other states to help out those impacted hard. They also helped pay for daycare & other expenses for our employed emergency responders. They also recognize racial bias & started ABIDE.
Everyone seems very supportive to fill in and help each other out. Despite being very spread out, we communicate well with each other. I don't feel like there is anyone with a big ego or not willing to help. We also adapted to a National model before most others under our overall department/area .
