Ascension Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

The bonus at the end of the year.

Review from Finance Dept

The compensation package is good regarding salary and retirement

Review from IT Dept

Much better coverage than at previous jobs

Review from IT Dept

Clear explanation of goals, aligned to mission

Review from Product Dept

Low cost for the $0 Copay deductible health plan, and company contribution to retirement plan in addition to matching

Review from HR Dept

The PTO and base pay

Review from HR Dept

Ascension offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Review from HR Dept

I appreciate that I am paid fairly for my experience and the work I do

Review from HR Dept

with longevity, 401K compensation is high and insurance is a tiered system based on salary so those that make more pay a higher premium to help those that make less

Review from Product Dept

Fair for the work that I do.

Review from Executive Dept

Salary is the best part of my compensationi.

Review from Admin Dept

Compensation is competitive in my experience.

Review from HR Dept

PTO, and 403K plan. Very good benefits.

Review from Admin Dept

PTO front loading and amount is generous.

Review from HR Dept

What I like best about the compensation package is that it has a wide range and variety of benefits!

Paid time off and company holidays

Review from HR Dept

Prescriptions are at no cost especially.

Review from HR Dept

Medical insurance is a much appreciated benefit.

Review from Product Dept

It is fair and comparable.

Review from HR Dept

403B plan matching and investment

Review from HR Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

I feel very valued, but I do feel like we should be compensated more. Our health insurance is very subpar, expensive, and provides less coverage than many other companies and peopIe know who work in health care in other parts of the coutnry.

Review from Operations Dept

The only way to get a wage adjustment is to interview for an external role somewhere else and try to negotiate for a match.

Review from HR Dept

When starting my new position, i took on many roles without any guidance and have excelled, yet my supervisor at the time never even aknowledged all my hard work.

Review from HR Dept

New pay banks for benefits dramatically increased cost of insurance for mid-level employees. Leadership was not impacted and is not concerned. Leadership also needs to addressed pay disparities within similar jobs.

Review from Finance Dept

A compensation that matches my credentials. Watching others be paid more with less credentialling is terrible.

Review from Customer Support Dept

Inflation has been really high the last couple of years, and our annual cost of living increase did not at all cover inflation.

Review from Operations Dept

I would like to be measured on things I can control and not the process as a whole. I would also like to hear praise every once and a while instead of what I am not doing.

Review from HR Dept

I would NEVER say undervalued, but I feel that I do deserve more than someone who has no experience and being promoted because that person knows someone who knows someone, etc. I work hard and have been compensated very well but it's time for more.

Review from HR Dept

I don't feel like the pay is bad but with inflation it has been very hard to make ends meet.

Review from HR Dept

The level of work I am doing at a national level is not recognized as such. I am compared to those who have a much smaller scope within a market/at a market level. I have a national scope and yet my compensation does not reflect that. My pay is reflective of those with an in-market regional scope.

Review from Admin Dept

If we as TA received the opportunity to get a bonus or a way to receveive additional pay based on our performance

Review from HR Dept

I believe we all work hard and deserve a raise based on cost of everything now

Review from Operations Dept

Ascension consistently lags the market in re: to salary. It's difficult to understand why we (HR) can't wrap our minds around the reality that it's almost always more lucrative to take a new position externally. Why should associates stay for a small pay increase when they can go external for more?

Review from Operations Dept

Fair market pay in this space, many leave because of that

Review from HR Dept

As a onsite essential, committed to make sure the office is maintained and secure, associates should be considered exempted. Facilities Services holds a major part in making sure everything is taken care and not just a 9:00-5:00 job.

Review from Admin Dept

adjustments are being made which makes me feel better

Review from Operations Dept

the overall benefits package is not competitive with other employers in my market; healthcare benefits are particularly subpar

Review from Operations Dept

It's important to do your research and know what the industry average pay is based on your experience.

Review from Marketing Dept

I feel we are underpaid and there should be more incentives for the employees to stay. We have a big turnover and not enough staff in almost all of the departments in our buildings. Maybe when we get the bonus check they issue them as a separate check so we do not get as much in taxes take out.

Review from Admin Dept

Constantly hear how great of a year(s) Ascension had, yet over the last few years (even pre-pandemic) our raises didn't necessarily keep up with the market/inflation.
