  • This is how it went down with me when there was a 10% reduction. A higher level manager calls you to a conference room where an HR person gives you the official news. HR takes your badge and explains the severance palate. The managers asks if they can get anything you need at your desk. Security is there after meeting with HR to see you out. No personal items in my desk were sent home. I was happy to get let go as I got a better job well before 2 month severance ran out. The severance payments stop once you get a new job. Word of advice...don’t tell them you got a new job and let them continue. They will never know.

  • Immediate. Don't seem to have a basis. Wish they would lay me off. Even asked.

  • Across all divisions and roles, most people are walked out of the building by security immediately after getting the news. Personal items cannot be collected and are shipped back to the employee with no care for the items to survive the trip.

  • Somewhat flexible. If I need time for family or personal events then I can do that. It is important to be available for daily status meetings however occasionally they can be done over the phone.

  • The worst I have ever experienced in over 25+ years

  • We have barely heard from the new CIO Bridget Engle. Constant reorgs do now allow for really getting to know the managers in the hierarchy. Managers tend to be the white men who have been around and processes are slow to change. There are a lot of really great team leaders but with all the chaos it has been difficult to be effective.
