Q&A With CARS.COM Employees

Cars.com has been revolutionizing the automotive industry. Our work isn’t easy, but we love doing it – and we didn’t become a market leader by shying away from a challenge. We move fast, collaborate across functions and approach problems from every angle – all to make car shopping and ownership great experiences. And, we’ve built a culture that’s second to none: We love our work family as much as we love the work.

How employees describe working at CARS.COM

Less leadership! So much glut at the top.

Their sincerity and loyalty at all tome

  • Alex Vetter isn't fit for the job. Coming from sales background - he's good at talking... talking that leads to nowhere. He needs to know what he's talking about as a leader of the business. No better than Trump

  • I think people are unsure of his strength as a leader. Coming from a sales background there is concern of his knowledge of other ares of the business as well as the people he's put in place to lead those teams.

not have people fill out surveys about culture. it happens organically. improve the relationship between the c level team and the employees, a lot of c level team members don't know everyones name in their own department, they need to be more accessible.

  • Culture isn't the issue. It's the executive team's clearness and basic compensation and benefits that need to be figured out. People are leaving in droves.

  • Eliminate the select few from the organization whose personalities and work styles are cancerous to the overall culture. The negativity and discord resulting from a select few often wreaks havoc on the company's otherwise upbeat, energetic culture. The technical and professional contributions of these persons do not outweigh the discord and chaos their negative personalities create. Some addition through subtraction is in order.
