Lack of vision and direction all around. For years now there have been questionable business decisions which are based purely have had a detrimental effect on our ability to, not only innovate for the future, but even supply existing products to customers at the quality that keeps them coming back.

The way they probed with questions to understand your abilities was done in such a way that you gained a better appreciation for the type of work you would be doing

We are slow to market, with designs which have been rushed through in production environments that lack the skill required to produce the products. Customer returns and complaints seem to increase in frequency in a weekly basis and they aren't small issues

Show some drive and vision. Improve processes rather than water down and generally worsen them (based in statistic analysis). Listen to employees. Stop promoting incompetence. Stop making skilled workers redundant, there are plenty of zero value add functions and personnel that could be axed instead
