It has been a wonderful experience expanding on my strengths and learning new skills within my role. The company is very supportive of the work/life balance and accommodating to their employees needs. Of course every company could use its improvements, but overall, I am happy within this environment
They are supportive and responsive.
My coworkers and my paycheck!
The people, MISUMI merch, no-meeting days, and free food (we love food)!
Our personalities work really well together, and communication is very easy with them. This helps us in our everyday business operations and interactions and makes us a strong team.
The leadership team here respects your feedback, ideas, and opinions. They want to foster their employees professional development and it truly feels good to have a team that supports your goals.
My coworkers are very diligent workers, but they are also genuinely fun people to be around. The day flows much better when I get to work with other team players who love to communicate, collaborate, and work toward a shared goal together.
There is a lack of consistency across the departments when it comes to certain roles. The role in one department has less goals/expectations/work load than the same role found within another department. The lack of equality and consistency makes me feel undervalued monetarily.
They have a growth mindset here which is wonderful with being able to shift gears and change strategy or tactics to adapt to the changing economy and world. However, sometimes there are just too many initiatives to keep up with - it is difficult to put 100% into everything when spread too thin.
The most notable positive aspect of MISUMI is the people. From the day I was hired, I felt welcomed and can always find support from someone when I am in need of help or have trouble navigating a new task. I have learned so much because others are willing to share in their knowledge.
I get paid a salary that aligns with the state average, but I believe the quality of my work is much higher than this. I have taken on added responsibilities outside of the scope of my role and I would feel more valued if this along with my high performance reflected in my current compensation.
