There are tough days and there are great days, the ups and downs can be quite extreme. However, my overall experience is positive because we have so many highly committed individuals in the company and people that are giving their all for their company. I am happy that I came across Smith
That I have the feeling they're very much aligned on the company's goals.
That the benefits package is flexible and can be adapted to my personal needs
That we all get along well and there's no hostile environment or toxicity among team members.
It is not forced in a way where I think I have to perform and will otherwise be judged by everyone else
Seeing my colleagues, having some chats with them. We are a diverse group, so we never run out of topics to talk about.
To interact with my team members, to continue supporting our customers, and deliver them our exceptional service offering. I feel inspired every day and excited about every little achievement.
My manager is super invested in us as a group, constantly asking if everything is okay and doing his best to motivate us as a group. He's open for feedback and gives us feedback as well when needed.
I think the total alignment in the company is great. In the end, everyone from operations, trading, to management have the same goal. There's a strive for excellence in the culture of Smith because we're all highly motivated and perfectionist in what we're doing.
I think base salary is a bit too low and not competitive with other employers. Especially, given the current inflation implying that life overall is getting more expensive. I do appreciate the earning potential at Smith, but would like to see a slight adjustment upwards of base salaries.
My team, and I speak only for my office, makes it worthwhile to go to work every day. I do enjoy daily interactions in the office. In that sense, it never gets boring. On the contrary, I have doubts about professionalism of people in other offices. Hence why I gave a rating of 7.
