My LVNs and MAs are amazing, they're the only reason i return. Management and PCCs are horrible to work with.
Better PCC education on respect for surgeons and appropriately educating patients (instead of lying to them for sales). Better compensation and at least improved payroll accuracy so i do not have to correct every paycheck i receive.
Surgeon compensation is low and needs to be higher. PCCs and managing staff also need to respect surgeons and our medical opinions. I feel like i'm constantly fighting to protect patient safety while all the PCCs care about is making money and it's making me feel like just a technician.
My medical judgment is constantly being questioned. PCCs are constantly lying to patients to get sales and it seems like they don't care about patient safety either. Compensation is low for what i have to put up with and is honestly not worth it. We honestly get paid very little.
There's so much negative tension at work that its stiffling to work at. I can't stand the PCC and her lack of respect, but management constantly makes excuses for her. Payroll is also an absolute horrow show. My compensation is never accurate and I have to constantly fight for patient safety.
