I think that the company makes great products, or can make great products. I feel that the upper management is not given a full picture of the inefficiencies and many organizations are content to work at a glacial pace. However, this can stifle innovation and prevent us from decreasing cost.

I created a great team that cared about each other as individuals. That does not extrapolate out across functions as I do not feel that we are equally yoked in the fact that we care about the product more than they do.

There should be a method to provide feedback upwards as at times the middle management may not be fully transparent with the upper level management. Also, I feel that they view individual contributors as commodities and that may not work in engineering, leading to inefficiencies.
