In the past several years while working here at Textron Systems I have learned so much on the job training. At the end of the day, I love the fact that while I am working, I too am learning and can personally benefit professionally by being employed at Textron.

Review from HR Dept
I like that the leadership team cares about my growth as an individual within the company. I believe they are invested in my growth, whether from supporting me in attending trainings, pursuing new challenges, or in my efforts on the board of one of our ERGs.

Review from HR Dept
Personal Accountability, Integrity, responsibility, leadership skills, knowing your people, learning how to motivate and retail quality people, been in position for nearly two years with no personal or group training with my director.
Review from Operations Dept
enforce some rules, stop the favoritism seems like no one is going to bat for the guys on the floor
Review from Operations Dept
communication flow, ensuring work life balance, listening to concerns and feedback
Review from HR Dept
Taking Covid seriously, valuing their employees as much as they value their shareholders, paying us competitively, not seeing benefits as a way to trim expenses and make more for shareholders, providing comfortable and modern working environments, embracing WFH like the rest of the industry.
Review from Executive Dept
Understand the product we are producing. On the SSC program, most Director level people and up are clueless about fabrication and large assembly. Most are from other Txt BU's that only deal with assembly (not fabrication). They fail to understand core vs. context for this work. The facility is a joke
Review from Engineering Dept
We are behind the times. Leaders are not invested in culture change.
Review from Marketing Dept
Please stop making unachievable promises which are forced down onto the lower levels. Unachievable goals demoralize the workers and makes them think the leadership team is ignorant of the work being done.
Review from Engineering Dept
Offer more stretch opportunities and clear, defined, charted, and measurable pathways for promotion.
Review from Operations Dept
acknowledging and respecting the employees who have built this company brand, ensuring all BUs acknowledge achievements in the same manner so no one team feels slighted when their accomplishments are not publicly recognized because one manager is better at those types of things than another.
Review from Engineering Dept
Prioritizing the fact that employees have lives outside of work
Review from Engineering Dept
Recognizing talent, stop playing favorites, fostering a team environment instead of a culture of blame and retribution, paying market rate.
Review from Product Dept
Communication and decision making could use a massive improvement initiative.
Review from Operations Dept
HIRING. We are drowning on virtually every level in every functional group. HELP US HIRE.
The exec team lives in a bubble of confirmation bias. They miss the mark on empathizing with the staff. Handling of COVID was devoid of the average employee's home life, creating a poor culture for parents. Decisions are made with emphasis on short term success to the detriment of long term health.
Review from Operations Dept
Executive leadership is extremely resistant to remote or hybrid work. We are severely suffering with retention and are rarely able to hire anyone experienced, and leadership action has taken too long to change this. You are expected to get the job done at any cost to your personal life.
Review from Finance Dept
Company culture. Not always a place I'm excited to go in everyday
Review from Operations Dept
stop employees from watching tv for 5+ hours a day
Review from Customer Support Dept
stop telling people they are being paid industry average, when they are bringing in new hires at larger wages. current employees realize that they are not getting compensated to minimally stay at industry average. Training investment only pays off when you retain the best performers through comp.
Review from Operations Dept
Presence of leaders walking around campus and engaging with the organization has diminished (partly due to COVID) and limits what they perceive the org to be instead of reality. This further disconnects those at the ground level from feeling like those who make decisions are in a bubble.
Review from Operations Dept
There is 0 investment in their own people from a career perspective. There are no technical development efforts related to anything engineering from program usage to basic things like GD&T. Everything is forced from people complaining. There is little fore thought into the future of programs once done
