Textron Systems Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Retirement plan and education assistance.

Review from HR Dept

Paid time off and parental leave.

Review from Engineering Dept

Competitive for the market, especially for new hires.

Review from Engineering Dept

Knowing that I have the best health benefits a company can offer.

Review from Finance Dept

Happy that it appears to be fair.

Review from Legal Dept

THE EXTRA TIME WERE GETTING NEXT YEAR

Review from Product Dept

I am newish and they do not make you wait for 5 years to have decent time off.

Review from Admin Dept

Friday's OFF. Medical is great as long as you don't need to use it.

Review from Operations Dept

implementation of short team incentive plans

Review from HR Dept

I like that we will now be getting more vacation each year (for those under 5 years at the company), and that we have an excellent schedule that includes every other Friday off.

Review from Operations Dept

9% match and every other friday off

Review from Finance Dept

time off HSA account wages to an extent

Review from Operations Dept

When comparing benefits with my friends who work at other companies, it appears that the vacation, sick time, and medical plans are very good at Textron Systems.

Review from Engineering Dept

Our 401 K and fitness package

Review from HR Dept

The 401k package is very generous and merit reviews

Review from HR Dept

pay is pretty competitive; benefits are affordable

Review from HR Dept

Fair wage for an entry level employee.

Review from HR Dept

As a woman, it's important to me that I am paid fairly. I believe my compensation is fair and equitable.

It's pretty much industry standard. Disability benefits are excellent.

Review from Executive Dept

4/10 work week with Fridays off. (although this has been slowly slipping, due to poor hiring practices, understaffing, and a clueless production team)

Review from Engineering Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

pay is not equitable to experience or accountability. A change in management structure.

Review from Operations Dept

What I currently make is the same as what I was making 13 years ago. I am experienced and not planning on leaving but I'm still paid what someone that is just starting out in their career is making.

Review from Finance Dept

pay does not equate to the cost of living and inflation.

Review from Finance Dept

I believe there should be cost of living raises and the opportunity to work from home. Some people in the company get paid the same as me but get to work from home so in the long wrong are making more.

Review from Finance Dept

I feel like our team is underappreciated at times and yearly bonus's could be a little better

Review from HR Dept

if textron is unable to compensate more, then they should implement perks that allow employees to save more money (provide more meals, or allow work from home to save money as gas prices are continuing to raise)

Review from HR Dept

I made more money doing the same job 12 years ago. I stay because of the company culture but staying makes it financially difficult especially with the way medical plans are now and the amount of money that has to come out of pocket.

Review from Finance Dept

There is no defined promotion path, I am at the mercy of management with no objective measures (e.g., meet 50% of the next higher levels competency ratings).

Review from Operations Dept

We are lagging the market in comp and therefore losing talent.

Review from Engineering Dept

Not industry competitive salary, plus no work from home flexibility.

Review from Engineering Dept

Bonuses; transparency about bonus program and raises

Review from Product Dept

I'm not rated on the jobs I perform, I'm rated at the title I have. Experienced people are leaving this company for higher-paying jobs with better benefits, I only stay because I'm fiercely loyal.

Review from Engineering Dept

It will largely come down to the market adjustment but I know what my peers make at similar organizations for arguably easier work.

Review from Engineering Dept

Wages have fallen behind our competitors and HR is either not interested in keeping up, or they are using out of date/bogus data. We keep losing good people for higher wages elsewhere while our yearly pay rises do not even keep up with the cost of living.

Review from Product Dept

The pay/benefits dont align with job duties and responsibilities nor does it align with industry standards at comparable companies.

Review from Operations Dept

Textron Systems is typically 10%-20% under market values. Sales team should have a level comensurate with other Sales/BD roles i.e. OTE, Bonus structure, etc

Review from Business Development Dept

We continue to lose talented people to our competition for modest bumps in salary and work-life flexibility. Our leadership insistence that working from home is too complicated and costly is NONSENSE.

Pay according to the work load - there are multiple people that wear multiple "hats" and are asked to take on additional projects. This should come with financial compensation.

Review from Operations Dept

annual raises should reflect inflation, bonuses should be in place

Review from Finance Dept

Compensation is not truly based on merit. You are always kept within a couple thousand dollars of people with the same years of experience, which means more senior staff will make more despite being bad at their job. Merit bonuses are rare & small. Additional responsibilities without additional comp
