Q&A With Ticketmaster Employees

All work and no play? No way! We come together at more than just meetings. In fact, there's a fun get-together on the calendar every month, including our annual Halloween bash and costume contest, and take your children to work day. Sometimes you can even catch a live band on the roof at our Hollywood headquarters.

How employees describe working at Ticketmaster

Service Fees are too high

They are helpful and understanding and caring.

I just had a really bad experience with ticket master. I purchased my tickets almost six months ago. They were "in process" right up until they day before the event when I was supposed to get them. Spoke to several customer service reps. I went to the venue but never received the tickets. FRUSTRATED

They are reliable and work well with each other!

Less wait time trying to speak with someone. Speaking with someone in the city where the event is being held who knows how to navigate web site themselves. Knowledgeable help for ADA people to purchase a seat with funds from each person whom also is disabled, companion to enjoy the event.

The benefits here are pretty great, actually. Health, dental and vision coverage, 10 paid holidays, 15 paid vacation days, 5 sick days, 5 volunteer days, 2 hours to go vote, we close early before holiday weekends, get the last 2 weeks of the year off, we have a social calendar that allows us to do fun outings, and even a "ditch day" where we can go out and watch a movie, or go to a baseball game... anything. We did paintball earlier this year for our ditch day. There is an employee program to help employees out financially in times of need, we have tuition assistance (that will help pay off your student loans). 2 free tickets a year to any Live Nation promoted show, free grass pass admission to all Live Nation owned amphitheaters, ticket purchases without fees, access to big festivals, ability to enter drawings for free tickets to big events, like the Grammys.

  • Benefits are pretty good, include 12 days vacation plus a 2 week closure at xmas (so around 4 weeks/yr). 401k match, tuition reimbursement, child care reimbursement, 6 months fully paid leave for a new child.

  • Free fresh juice. Two weeks off at the end of the year. Help with student loans.

  • Amazing the WFH opportunities are great and vacation policy is pretty decent as well. Managers are very good about working with employees when family needs arise.

  • Work/Life balance at Ticketmaster is 100% dependent on the team and manager. Some people seemingly have nothing to do all day, come in at 10 and are out at 4. Maybe they work really hard from home... Other's on the same team may be in at 6AM and work until 8PM to pick up the slack. Overall, my impression is that there isn't a work/life balance at Ticketmaster. You are expected to work. If life gets in the way of that, you need less life if you want to keep working here.

  • Guess it depends on the position, as a developer I wore nice jeans and a button shirt. It's quite casual there.

The CEO is a non-entity to us really. Rapino (CEO) of Live Nation isn't visible and doesn't communicate to the minions directly. We know that the company is making money. We also know that none of us get stock or any kind of ownership. The pay is okay but lower than market since we "get" to work someplace this cool. They hire "friends" into leadership who have no business being in those positions but won't let them go because of pride. Culture is pretty bad.
