It started pretty fun, good crew. It quickly devolved into the managers always chilling in the back room. It was all about getting things done, except when the managers wanted to talk. Bright side though, you get to be late everyday because your manager shows up 10 minutes late

It's an open store so it didn't feel confined or stuffy inside. The culture: it's a retail store that sells overpriced and ugly furniture there is no culture only sales.

They act like they are the most intelligent people ever, I just feel like if you've worked your whole life and you're only a manager at World Market, that means you definitely are lacking some kind of intelligence.

They are some of the friendliest and nicest people I have ever met, which is only made worse by World Market taking advantage of their kindheartedness. I worked with one guy who was funny, kind, helpful, and if he didn't have an answer for you, he would find someone who would.

If managers actually worked, hands on, everyday, in their departments. Right now it's 5 managers all with different titles, but they all do the same thing, so when a problem arises there isn't a dedicated manager to help with it. So instead you get several people on walkies asking for a manager.

If there were any compensation. You are kept under 40 hours so they don't have to give you benefits, you are paid about $3-$4 less per hour than literally any other job in a 20 mile radius, and you have to pick up the workload of every single person slacking otherwise everyone gets in trouble
