Letting go of the sh*tty managers with a long list of employee complaints via; human resources.

Stressed and no empathy , always running

They need better time management, better stress management, needs to focus on doing their duties instead of pouring it onto the rest of the team, they need stop being shady and say how it really is, they have to stop talking so bad about other associates, they as well need to stop having favorites

Scheduling people to work each week

Not being inconsiderate to its workforce and also to stop leaving all the work for us while taking extended lunch breaks and sitting in the middle of the store for hours at a time talking with friends while ignoring customers and the associates looking for backup

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

If they paid me more and stopped trying to convince everyone to not share our wages when we know certain people are getting lots paid more without good reason

People who earn less than a dollar less than I work very little and seem to fly under the radar. Nothing is done with the associates who would rather doodle than work. The general manager seems more concerned with filling the available hours with a warm body rather than someone who is a hard worker

meeting the California new minimum wage act and get the same rate of pay as fast food workers.

The pay is slightly less than other retail stores and raises are very small

Be able to take time off. Company is so understaffed due to leadership turnover its difficult to step away

Just my coworkers who aren't managers. The managers are too controlling even towards hardworking coworkers

Each of us has skills that overlap, giving us flexibility in tasks that others may be preoccupied in.

We all love our jobs and our customers

The stock team was very kind and helpful and answered questions and assisted with understanding the flow of the store. Complete exact opposite experience with the management team. Other than the stock manager, she would take time to explain things for the most part.

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?

Setting a standard operating procedure. Better communication between mangers and them knowing and executing their duties. Give proper tools to employees to be able to execute their job efficiently and effectively.

If we were all treated equally and we all were held to the same standards. Also it would help if the manager didnt talk crap about you to your peers instead of trying to fix the problem with me

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

I really cant think of any.

Management and co-workers are hard working, have positive attitudes, and are patient when necessary.

The products that we sell are the most positive thing about working at this company. We also have great flexibility with our schedules. Other than that, there is nothing that stands out.

Just the co-workers keeping things professional

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

The entire store and staff need to be evaluated

Toxic leadership. They tell us its company policy that they not work cause they need to be available if something is to arise but even when it is a job for them they drag their feet. The only supervisor that worked has left due to them.

The quality isnt there and we employees dont get paid enough

Needs better managers who focus on the store and its customers rather than looks, money, and stealing. Theft and customers leaving stores messy comes with managing anything with retail.

If managers actually worked, hands on, everyday, in their departments. Right now it's 5 managers all with different titles, but they all do the same thing, so when a problem arises there isn't a dedicated manager to help with it. So instead you get several people on walkies asking for a manager.

we are suffering from poor leadership causing everyone to feel uncertain about their future at the store. to solve this i would recommend we fire the store manager and either promote a current manager or hire a competent one.
