  • The “Design Department” is now decentralized with no one UX Design leader. A lot of people are leaving due to changes in design leadership among individual teams as well as a small amount of layoffs. Attitudes vary across the teams. Hopefully we will hit bottom soon and reboot with a more upbeat future after the new year. The work we are doing is having a significant positive impact on future of energy production worldwide, however there are challenges and growing pains as we transition GE to a “digital industrial.”

  • GE Digital is a startup within a 100+ year old company, so it really has that startup feel. Open floor plan, large collaborative spaces, free drinks/snacks, and entertainment options when you need to step away from work for a little bit. It's a fun, engaging, and exciting environment.
