It's been wonderful so far. Each of my managers has consistently encouraged me to take time off. The rate at which we earn sick and vacation days is really reasonable, making time off easy to take. For lots of roles (non specialized) there are processes in place to allow people to take off while getting support while they're gone.
If you're in retail, there is absolutely none. I once had someone in my family die, and my manager called me while I was going through TSA to complain that I hadn't already submitted vacation hours (I'd submitted time off and it had been approved)....
Some departments are better than others. Apple is a big place, so it very much depends on the team you are on.
It depends on whether you're hourly or salaried. It's not uncommon for salaried employees to work 60 hour weeks.
60+ hours per week depending on the department and if you have a psychopath boss
We don’t have any holidays off except Thanksgiving Day and New Years Day
My life balance is more important to me than work
Not bad. Except for the poor folks in Ops.
Fine. Except during product launches. The usual.
Fine, at my level
