  • What should I wear for an interview at Apple?
    Shorts and a t shirt.

    Casual

Business casual. Easy for men, harder for women. Do not wear a suit or you will never get an offer. Be comfortable. Being yourself, natural and relaxed is the most important.

    clean shirt no pants
    Answered 3 years ago
I was told that business casual was acceptable but I always wore a suit or at least a shirt and tie.
    Answered 3 years ago
Apple is casual in dress (many wear jeans and t-shirts, including upper management). I wore kakis and polo shirt, and I was better dressed than anyone I interviewed with.
    Answered 4 years ago
Easier for men than women: Men: Jeans or khakis. Collared shirt. Shoes with laces. Do NOT wear a suit. Women: "business casual" which is hard to nail down. I haven't seen a woman wearing pantyhose at Apple in 20 years. The adage "you can never be over-dressed" is NOT true at Apple. Wear something that makes you feel comfortable, yourself, and at ease.

  • Who did you meet with during your interview? And how long did it take to hear back from Apple?
    A manager. The next day
    Answered 4 years ago
Mostly the members of the team that I would be working with. Apple turned around in a relatively short period of time, maybe a week or so.
    Answered 4 years ago
Product marketing managers, engineering, design, Q/A. Process took five months. Seventeen interviews. Five weeks after last interview until offer.
    Answered 4 years ago
Senior position. Interview process took 11 months. 35 interviews. Engineering, Q/A, marketing and design teams. Expect to be turned away a few times. Getting hired is an arc. You might interview for a few jobs over a few years before you land.

  • How would you compare interviewing at Apple to other places you've interviewed?
Much easier than Google, Adobe, Facebook or Amazon. Those companies have rigorous interview processes with an organized system that guarantees complete coverage. Apple Marketing does not.
    Answered 4 years ago
Amazon and Google are far more rigorous and structured in their process. The Apple process is haphazard at best. People often arrive without having read your resume or knowing exactly why they are on the interview cycle. Interviews are usually 30 minutes. The interviewer will often talk for ten minutes, ask a few questions and rarely allow for time to ask your own questions.

    Completely different.

Initial employment interview is like anywhere else. Promotional interviews are garbage and a waste of time. They prepick who they want for the job regardless of whether or not that person is qualified for the job. They just go through the motions with the rest of us. And they’re not even crafty enough to come up with a different reason for rejecting an applicant, just give all promotional rejectees the same reason why.
