Initial employment interview is like anywhere else. Promotional interviews are garbage and a waste of time. They prepick who they want for the job regardless of whether or not that person is qualified for the job. They just go through the motions with the rest of us. And they’re not even crafty enough to come up with a different reason for rejecting an applicant, just give all promotional rejectees the same reason why.
Amazon and Google are far more rigorous and structured in their process. The Apple process is haphazard at best. People often arrive without having read your resume or knowing exactly why they are on the interview cycle. Interviews are usually 30 minutes. The interviewer will often talk for ten minutes, ask a few questions and rarely allow for time to ask your own questions.
Much easier than Google, Adobe, Facebook or Amazon. Those companies have rigorous interview processes with an organized system that guarantees complete coverage. Apple Marketing does not.
Completely different.
