Not every role is directly linked to customer satisfaction/sales. I wouldn't say this is making one's role/performance undervalued, but more of the fact where indirect roles/departments also need to be recognised/rewarded to drive motivated workforce.
To be honest, the freedom to decide, choose and voice my opinion at all levels is a big encouragement for me to step in to work everyday! This is one of the first companies I worked for that recognises the opinions of its employees, stands and implements it as well!
