Boys & Girls Clubs Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Compensation met my financial needs.

Insurance and time off or leave

Review from Operations Dept

The dental insurance benefits of the package.

Medical, dental, vision, 401k matching

Just being eligible to recieve it

100% of insurance coverage paid on behalf of the employee.

100% of health benefits are covered for employee.

I am not sure about my compensation package

I get paid fairly especially for a not for profit

Review from Operations Dept

I got paid great with a comp day

Review from Operations Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Theres very little public, or even private, reccognition for the programs we run, and the CEO will probably take credit for whatever work the public actually sees. They also do not care about burnout. I tried to ask how we could decrease it, and was basically told 'good thing theyve got you for now

I do several jobs wear several hats and only a club level

All of the problems were blamed on staff. The real problem was lack of leadership. If you brought a problem to them they would disregard it and tell you to figure it out.

Review from Operations Dept

There are zero benefits in this job

Review from Admin Dept

We make minimum wage which is okay but after a hard day with 30 + kids you start to think its not very fair. Also I don't have an benefits at all. I think maybe a raise or maybe a little benefit would be nice.

Review from Communications Dept

For the work I do, the things activity specialist do amd have to deal with, we deserve WAY more than minimum wage.

Review from Communications Dept

More paid time off like during Christian holidays and Veterans Day

paid little not enough training

Review from Operations Dept

Clear expectations and raise possibilities. Chances for advancement.

Review from Operations Dept

I felt as though the employees were treated poorly.

Review from Communications Dept

Again, transparency. VP's have historically recieved bonus based on intiatives that get pushed. That taints the reason behind why things get pushed downhill. Overall compensation for senior levels is way out of line with other positions.

Review from Operations Dept

It’s a hard job to always stay upbeat and positive for

Review from Operations Dept

The actual pay itself was okay (until you consider how many hours you work when paid salary), but the benefits were pretty lousy

Employees are underpaid, not provided enough hours, clubs are understaffed, and employees are unappreciated for the hard work they do every day.

Review from Operations Dept

There is a tremendous amount of work to be done. We are constantly short staffed. Therefore, one has to fill in for the positions not filled. The positions aren't filled due to minimum salary. Duties that need to be filled in the interim usually become permanent

People are getting hired and starting at more than me after two years here.

Review from Admin Dept

I believe that the there should be different pay within the staff positions
